Updated Farm Financial Scorecard

Economist Devin Brand highlights the updated Farm Financial Scorecard as an easy-to-use resource to benchmark a farm’s financial position and performance against a standard set of ranges from vulnerable to strong.

Connect with FINPACK at the ABA Ag Bankers Conference in Omaha

Join the FINPACK Team at the ABA Agricultural Bankers 70th anniversary Conference in Omaha, November 6-9. FINPACK, Farmer Mac, and Dr. David Kohl will again kick off the event at Sunday afternoon’s pre-conference seminar, “The Price is Right: Do High Prices Equal High Profits”. On Tuesday morning, Bob Craven and Pauline Van Nurden will be hosting a workshop, “Hold Your Horses – How Long Will the Pasture Stay Green?” looking back at 2021 farm financial performance and sharing expectations on cost of production going forward.

FINPACK Lender Training

Thank you to all the participants in the October FINPACK Lender Training. It was great to connect with so many FINPACK users in person here in St. Paul! Watch out for dates to be announced for the next in-person training session in Spring 2023. In the meantime, if you have any questions about any aspect of FINPACK’s tools, check out the online training site, visit the FINPACK Knowledge Base, and of course, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team at any time!

In Case You Missed It

A nice story from AgWeb about The State Bank of Faribault, a longtime FINPACK user. The latest addition to the FINPACK Knowledge Base is economist Pauline Van Nurden’s exploration of ways to sleuth Cash Discrepancy Triggers in a financial analysis or Schedule F Cash to Accrual.
