How to Customize FINPACK Credit Analysis – Part 2

by  and  | Jun 22, 2023

In our previous post on customizing FINPACK Credit Analysis, we examined Credit Decision Scorecards and how to build a model that best fits your needs. In this post, we’ll focus on customizing Loan Presentations.

Presentations

The FINPACK Loan Presentation Manager is designed to be customized for your organization. This tool allows for a consistent and concise loan presentation format customized to your institution’s needs. The Presentation Manager allows you to work from a system template you’ve customized to mirror your current presentation template. Furthermore, multiple templates are possible, if needed, for your organization. The FINPACK Presentation Manager allows users to combine specific FINPACK data and the loan narrative components needed. FINPACK data can be imported and automatically updated from throughout the software.  And the tool includes familiar word-processing functionality.  Finally, a loan presentation packet can be created that includes default FINPACK output, specific customer documents, and external documents that may be needed.

FINPACK includes a standard template which you can use as a starting point for customizing your institution’s Loan Presentation template. Or you can take your existing template and replicate that in FINPACK. With its familiar word-processing functionality and the ability to pull in data from FINPACK’s credit analysis tools, you have the ability to design a Loan Presentation that fits your unique needs.

Getting Started with Customizing Loan Presentations

FINPACK includes a standard Loan Presentation template which you can tweak and modify to fit your needs. Change headings and sections, choose different formats and select the data you wish to share. Alternatively, you can take an existing model and replicate that in FINPACK. Share your current template with our support team, and they will assist you in crafting one or more Loan Presentation templates in FINPACK that mirror that template.

Whichever approach you take, you have control over the elements you want included, the level of detail you prefer, and the organization of the credit analysis you want included. And as always, our support team is available to help.
